Wurthy
Brand strategy, identity, motion, and agent design for Wurthy, a modern operating system for small businesses. We designed the brand, named and built the AI agent Wes, and launched a motion-first site that works as a live product demo.
Small businesses make up 99% of U.S. companies, yet most back-office software isn't built for how they actually work. Owners juggle accounting tools, CRMs, payments, and spreadsheets across systems that don't connect, turning everyday decisions into unnecessary busy work.
Wurthy came to Little Plains to relaunch as a modern operating system for SMBs: powerful without bloat, intelligent without friction, and supportive in the flow of real work.
Most SMB tools fall into one of three buckets: bloated platforms built for companies much larger, one-size-fits-all software missing critical features, and expensive systems that don’t justify their complexity.
The result is owners doing high-stakes financial work inside tools that were never designed for them, bouncing between apps, reconciling data manually, and losing time where it matters most.
Wurthy’s insight was simple: small businesses don’t need more software, they need a system.
Little Plains partnered with Wurthy to design and launch a full system, brand, product, agent, and motion working together.
Our scope covered brand strategy and positioning, verbal identity and tone, visual identity and logo, agent concept, naming, behavior, and states, UI kit and financial data visualization, motion design as a primary explanatory layer, and website design with performance-optimized execution.
This was not a surface-level refresh. The goal was to make Wurthy understandable the moment you see it working.
The idea: You build the business. We've got your back.
Wurthy ingests QuickBooks, HubSpot, Stripe, Google, Meta, Shopify, and more, unifying accounting, billing, communications, and financial diagnostics into one system. Static screenshots couldn't explain it. The experience had to be shown working.
Motion became the language for how the system thinks.
Wes isn't a chatbot layered onto a dashboard. He's the interface to the system. We named, designed, and built Wes as a contextual operator, one that understands the current state of the business, ingests data across finance, ops, and marketing, suggests what matters next, and executes work directly when asked.
Every interaction with Wes was storyboarded and designed to communicate intent, progress, and outcome.
Every interaction with Wes was storyboarded to communicate intent, progress, and outcome. We defined a full set of agent states: listening, thinking, executing, and success, so owners always understand what the system is doing and why.
Wes doesn't just answer questions. He moves the business forward.
The rest of the identity flows from here. We designed the Wurthy voice around two roles, one purpose.
The voice avoids traditional "software language." It sounds like a partner who understands the stakes of running a business. "You build the business. We've got your back." "We never log off." "Your team isn't slow. Your tools are."
The identity balances clarity, trust, and momentum.
The wordmark pairs with a five-dot system forming an upward W. The dot becomes the agent avatar, favicon, and interaction motif. Primary blues with gradients, supported by functional system colors. Typography spans STK Bureau, Geist, and Geist Mono.
Photography uses generative imagery inspired by American entrepreneurial grit. Real businesses, real environments, no stock clichés.
Wurthy's platform spans complex workflows: software ingestion, data normalization, prioritization, and execution. Static UI would flatten the experience, so we treated motion as infrastructure.
Across the site, we built four pages of fully custom motion sequences demonstrating tool ingestion, intelligent dashboards, agent-led recommendations, and real-time collaboration between system and operator.
Each sequence was written, storyboarded, prototyped, then executed and refined. We optimized every file for performance, ensuring fast load times across desktop and mobile.
The site functions as a live product demonstration, not a marketing wrapper.
The product experience is inseparable from motion. Dashboards, financial data, and agent actions are designed to be seen in context, not inferred. The UI system supports everything from cash flow and receivables to working capital and diagnostics.
The website mirrors the product philosophy: minimal, direct, and clear on value, pricing, and integrations. Wurthy also introduced a business credit card designed to fund growth, not just spend, positioning it distinctly from incumbents.
Wurthy launched as a cohesive, living system, one you can watch think, act, and improve the business in real time.
A brand that feels supportive and credible. A product that clears the noise. An agent that works quietly in the background so owners can stay focused on what matters.
Hire a whole team. Or just hire Wurthy.
