Ease

Ease

Ease is an AI-native operating system for behavioral health, unifying CRM, EHR, and RCM into one connected platform. Little Plains worked with the founding team and Abstract on strategy and messaging, then developed the identity, visual system, UX/UI, motion language, and built the full website for launch.

Three tools that never talked to each other, now working as one. The bento says it before a single word does.

Behavioral health clinics run on a stack of disconnected software. The CRM doesn't know what the EHR knows, billing happens somewhere else entirely, and the clinician spends more time moving between systems than with the people they're trying to help. Ease set out to collapse all of that into one operating system, built AI-native from the start.

The founding team came in backed by a16z with a clear product thesis and a clear problem. Behavioral health had been left behind by the tooling other parts of healthcare already had. The brand had to feel calm and credible to clinicians who are wary of one more thing to learn, while signaling that this was genuinely new.

The whole product in one drawing. Many lines in, one line out.

The strategic call was to make the convergence the brand. Everything else in the category leads with features or compliance. Ease leads with relief. The line we kept coming back to, "Less clicks, more care," puts the clinician's day at the center instead of the software. The promise isn't more capability, it's less friction, and the visual system had to carry that without saying it twice.

The wordmark in Faire Octave. Soft where you'd expect a health platform to be sharp.

The wordmark uses Faire Octave, a serif with warmth and a little character in the lowercase. For a clinical product, that's a deliberate softening. Faire Octave carries the expressive, human side of the brand, and Suisse Intl handles structure: UI, data, anything that needs to read as precise. The pairing is the whole personality in two typefaces: warm where it speaks to people and exact where it handles their work.

Forest green anchors everything. The mauves keep it from feeling like every other health brand.

Color tiers out from a deep forest green, familiar enough to read as health and trustworthy, with a range of sages and mints for breathing room. The mauve and mulberry tones are the surprise. They keep the system from settling into the expected green-and-white health palette and give the brand somewhere to go when it needs warmth or contrast.

The mark is an easing curve. The same shape the motion system runs on. The mark is an easing curve, the literal shape of smooth, decelerating motion. It's the rare logo that means exactly what the brand does: movement that settles gently and never jolts. It scales down to the app icon, sits on a cap, and doubles as the organizing idea for how everything in the brand moves.

Every curve named, every value specified. Motion that accelerates and decelerates gently, then settles without drawing attention to itself.

We built the motion system around the same principle as the mark. Movements accelerate and decelerate on smooth, predictable curves, then settle naturally without calling attention to themselves. Each curve is named and specified down to the cubic-bezier values: Fade for general transitions, Scale and Move for boxes, separate entrances for light and dark backgrounds and for carousel items. The team gets exact values, not vague direction, so the calm reads the same everywhere it shows up.

Live at easehealth.com. Five minutes to onboard a clinician, half the time back on notes and intake.

The site launched at easehealth.com with the full system in motion: the convergence animation, the named easing curves running live, the product cards passing a record between them. The proof points lead with the clinician's time back, five minutes to onboard, fifty percent less spent on notes and intake, because that's what the whole brand promised in the first line.

That's the work. One strategy about relief, carried straight through from the wordmark to the motion curves to the way a patient record moves across the screen.
